Kickstart Your Day with a Health-Boosting Morning Elixir: Cinnamon, Honey, Lemon, and Green Tea
 
I wanted to share with you my go-to morning drink combo that’s been making waves online as a “waist eraser,” “acid reflux killer,” and “immune booster,” – but I’ll let you be the judge of that. I’ll share the recipe’s health benefits and why I drink it. Here’s the recipe:
 
  • 1/2 tsp. Ceylon Cinnamon (I got mine here)
  • 1 Tbsp. Organic Honey
  • 1/2 Lemon, squeezed
  • 2 tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar (raw and unfiltered with ‘the mother’)
  • Some folks even add a pinch of cayenne pepper for an extra kick! 🌶️
I mix these into about 8-12 ounces of green tea. I find the combination not only delicious but also really soothing, especially when the tea is warm. Plus, the benefits of the green tea are Here’s how I do it:
 
🫖 Prepare Green Tea: Brew it slightly cooler than boiling to avoid bitterness.
🥄 Mix in the Goodness: Add the cinnamon, honey, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar to the tea.
☕️ Enjoy Warm or Cold: I prefer it warm in the morning on an empty stomach to maximize absorption.

🩸 Ceylon Cinnamon: May improve insulin sensitivity, potentially helping regulate blood sugar levels. I also may positively impact heart health by potentially lowering LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, increasing HDL (“good”) cholesterol, and reducing blood pressure. 
🍯 Organic Honey: Natural sweetener with a healthy dose of antioxidants, like flavonoids and phenolic acids, known to fight free radicals and reduce oxidative stress linked to chronic diseases.
🍋 Lemon Juice: Rich in vitamin C, great for the skin.
🍎 Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother: Loaded with probiotics and known for aiding digestion and boosting the immune system. ACV may also aid weight loss by promoting satiety, lowering blood sugar, and reducing insulin levels. 
🫖 Green Tea: Green tea contains polyphenols like catechins and flavonoids, which are powerful antioxidants. These substances can reduce the formation of free radicals in the body, protecting cells and molecules from damage and reducing the risk of certain chronic diseases. There is some evidence that green tea can lead to increased weight loss, especially in the abdominal area.
 
Remember, no elixir is a “magic bullet” or quick fix. A nutrient-dense diet and a healthy lifestyle are the best remedies for fighting disease and controlling weight.
